NHD Reflection
For my NHD project i Walter Elias Disney i worked with Shani Hayes and Tevora Johnson. i really learned a lot about Walt Disney he was a great man he did many things with his i life if i could do Walt Disney again i would do him again.
Some of the roadblocks in our projects was finding the correct info and writing the 30 annotations. Some things that were easy was finding pictures and making a color scheme and making the marquee.
I really enjoyed doing a exhibit board i have done a exhibit board since ninth grade i really enjoy doing it.
HOW AND WHY I CHOOSE THIS TOPIC.
In this project we went beyond ourselves and looked at somebody who really plays a major part in our everyday life. Past on from generation to generation something or someone that succeeded in so much and achieved numberless accomplishments that would put us in the charts of an outstanding work effort project. We took this into deep thought and consideration National History Day is important to the school we attend and choosing the right topic but caught at interest at the same time alone may be difficult.
THE BACKROUND HISTORY OF MY TOPIC.
After the hassle we came to agreement of the late Walter Elias Disney. Born December of 1901 here to give us the world of entertainment. He had a strong and equipped lifestyle and we admire his mind of prominence. He was a living legend even today the famous Mickey mouse is still in action of making millions. But in Disney’s point of view money wasn’t the issue it’s about making a person or persons smile. Who could ever think a little irish-canadian boy brought up on a farm could go so far and bring the state of imagination to life only with courage and the help of his older brother Roy Disney? He always said “A man should never neglect his family for business, All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them” –Walt Disney.
HOW I CONDUCTED AND ACHIEVE MY EXIBIT.
A way to express all of our research in this case would be presented as an exhibit board. Through out the days we had to prepare we used sources such as primary and secondary. From books to historic sites. The pressure was rough but we made it through. The most thing accomplished here would be what we learned. The learning process of this project was outstanding. We learned a lot and only picked verities to go on our board. The members in this group are now stronger mentally and physically. With the help of our teachers Internet access and our fellow team mates.
HOW MY PROJECT RELATES TO THE THEME
The theme for this year was individuals in history actions and legacies. As shown on my exhibit board one side represents Walt Disney’s actions and the other side represents his legacies. He achieved so much and he conducted himself as a legacy that could ever known one man could have such talents. He was an individual in half of the things he did. Even though some things he included his brother Roy Disney. In his own way he was playing the game alone his goal wasn’t making millions it was to turn a frown upside down. In loving memory of him he will never be forgotten for he have brought a land of peace on this earth the famous Disney world. TV stations, clothing lines, more characters, movies, action figures and many more. “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible” –W.Disney.
